Get to know the wild oysters of Willets Point at Flushing Meadows Corona Park’s Malcolm X Promenade!

Join Billion Oyster Project and Guardians of Flushing Bay at Flushing Meadows Corona Park’s Malcolm X Promenade for a wild oyster survey along the Flushing Bay shoreline. Wild oyster surveys are an opportunity to explore your local waterfront and build collective knowledge about where oysters live in NYC. RSVP here.

Learn to count and measure wild oysters along the coast to help understand current conditions as Billion Oyster Project investigates the potential to restore oyster reef habitat offshore. Participants, ages 16+, will learn about how oyster grow, and get up close and personal with the local oyster population while collecting and recording data to be used in future Restoration reports.
