Tuesday Morning Music Club of Douglaston Presents Young Artists Competition on Apr. 22

The Tuesday Morning Music Club of Douglaston will present its biennial Young Artists Competition on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM.   This year the competition is open to classical pianists aged seventeen (17) to twenty-five (25).  Six gifted young musicians will compete for scholarship prizes as well as an opportunity to perform with the Northport Symphony Orchestra.  Each competitor will present a program of his or her own choice.  The competition will be judged by a panel of Club members who are professional musicians.  The public is invited to attend and enjoy performances by young artists on the way to professional careers in classical music.

The concert will take place at the Community Church of Douglaston, 39-50 Douglaston Parkway, Douglaston, NY.  Admission is free and open to the public; no tickets are required.

Since 1921, the Tuesday Morning Music Club of Douglaston has enhanced the cultural life of its membership and the community by presenting the finest of musical works and performers to its audience of general members and guests.  The club also provides scholarship assistance to talented and worthy student musicians.  Guests are invited to become members to help the Club continue this important cultural tradition.
