Are you interested in the Hardcore Punk of the 1980s?

The Metropolis Literary Salon is a monthly gathering of words hosted by Jeffrey Wengrofsky.  Our August show will gather these veterans of that very scene:

Eugene Robinson, of legendary hardcore band Whipping Boy and, until recently, Oxbow, is the author of A Walk Across Dirty Water (Feral House). A Walk Across Dirty Water includes a forward by Lydia Lunch.

Steven Blush, author of American Hardcore (Feral House), the definitive book (and film) on the topic, as well as When Rock Met Disco and New York Rock.

Tony O’Neill, author of classic junkie punk novels Down and Out on Murder Mile and Stabbing The Vein, both published by Harper Collins, and former member of The Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Marc Almond band.

Jeffrey Wengrofsky was a zine writer during the hardcore movement of the 1980s, cutting his teeth with Maximumrocknroll and editing Vehement Renaissance.  He’s recently given birth to The Wolfboy of Rego Park (Far West Press).
