SEEKING PARTICIPANTS & YOUTH JOURNALISTS FOR WEEK FOR WORLD PARLIAMENT YOUTH CONFERENCE, QUEENS, NY
Save the date: Saturday, October 22nd, UNA-USA Queens Borough Chapter, Young World Federalists, and Citizens for Global Solutions will host a youth conference at Jamaica High School Building 167-01 Gothic Drive, Jamaica, NY 11432.
Participants: You and your fellow attendees will have the chance to impact global affairs! Learn about the United Nations, global governance issues, and engage in an open dialogue about, and help to decide on, what reforms we want the UN to consider at the Summit for the Future.
Youth Journalists: Are you currently a student journalist in high school or college? We will give you a free Press Pass to cover the event for your local or school paper!
Queens, NY will act as the last stop for this set of proposed reforms before we have the privilege to hand the list to an official representative of the UN. With our combined voices, we can #AbolishWar and #SaveEarth. Sitting idly by is no longer an option.
This year’s Week for World Parliament Youth Conference at Jamaica High School Building in Jamaica (Queens), NY already has the participation of more than 10 NGOs, 3 UNAs, the official UN Envoy for the Youth and Former UN General Assembly President Maria Fernanda Espinosa. Sign up now to be a part of this year’s event!
“To be the change you want to see in the world you must acknowledge the state of the world and the role you play in it, take action to advocate for change, and then you will be the change that reflects a world everyone wants to see. ” –Terrie Gyles, UNA-USA Queens Borough Chapter
Tickets to attend are only $10.00. Can’t attend in-person? Attend virtually for free! Register today: https://www.ywf.world/event-details/wwp-nyc
