
The Jamaica Dance Festival 2023
With New York City Department of Cultural Affairs Cultural Immigrant Initiative allocations from New York City Council Members Adrienne Adams, James Gennaro, and Nantasha Williams, and funding from the Howard Gilman Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the New York State Council on the Arts, A Better Jamaica is pleased to announce The Jamaica Dance Festival 2023.
Free and open to the public, the sixth annual Jamaica Dance Festival will present professional dance companies over the course of four consecutive Saturday evenings in June. Each of the companies will be presented on a 40’ x 32’ stage erected in Rufus King Park on the front lawn of the King Manor House.
The following companies are scheduled to perform:
Saturday, June 3rd – Ajna Dance Company + Limón2 + New York Chinese Cultural Center + Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre
Saturday, June 10th – Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company + Potential Energy Project featuring Ja’Bowen + RBDC
Saturday, June 17th – Ballet Inc. + Pajarillo Pinta’o Dance Company
Saturday, June 24th – Asase Yaa African American Dance Theater + Obremski/Works
