Internatoinal Chess Day at the Great Neck Library

The Great Neck Chess Club will celebrate International Chess Day on Wed., July 16, at 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Main Library, 159 Bayview Ave.

All are welcome – no registration is required.  Bring your own chess set and board if you’d like to play other participants, indoors or outdoors depending on the weather.

An award-winning short video will feature players sharing their love of the game, from the UK, Ukraine, Spain, Bahrain, India, and other countries around the world.

Attendees may enjoy playing against 3 others on a rarely seen expanded chess board with 160 squares and silicon pieces, providing myriad opportunities for tactical craziness.
