Getting There: Building a More Inclusive Region
To celebrate the 100th anniversary and to celebrate you—the incredible communities that have been partnered with over the past 100 years—The New York Community Trust is thrilled to invite you to a panel discussion in Queens about supporting people with disabilities and older New Yorkers.
NYC, Long Island, and Westchester are home to more than 2.5 million people ages 65 and older, and more than 1.5 million people living with a disability.
At its best, the region can be a great place to grow old, boasting accessible services and inclusive opportunities for all New Yorkers. Trust grantees are working to meet this vision through advocacy campaigns, community outreach, equitable housing programs, and much more.
Come out for a conversation with nonprofit and government leaders to explore how we can make the region more accessible.
A festive reception will follow, with light bites, drinks, and the opportunity to share your vision for the region’s next century.
This venue is wheelchair accessible and ASL interpretation will be provided. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact Liz Uddyback at euddyback@thenytrust.org.
