Black Brooklynites have resisted racism in housing, work, school and other areas in since the time of the Dutch. Our new curriculum, Brooklyn Resists! How Black Brooklynites Have Resisted Racism and Persisted, explores the racist views Blacks endure and how they chose to overcome them and fight for a better life. Join Dr. Prithi Kanakamedala, curator and historian on the In Pursuit of Freedom project, as she discusses how Black Brooklynites resisted racism and persisted over time.
