Alphapointe: Accessibility Is The Key To Opportunity

Co-hosted by Alphapointe and Queens Public Library, this conversation will feature former New York State Governor David A. Paterson and other barrier-breaking change-makers in the blindness and visually-challenged community.

The panelists will share their thoughts on where accessibility stands today and where it needs to go for individuals who are disabled to reach their full potential.

Alphapointe is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering people who are visually impaired to achieve their goals and aspirations.

This panel discussion will be moderated by Scott Thornhill, Director of Public Policy at Alphapointe, and will include:

• David A. Paterson, former New York State Governor
• Rebecca Alexander, author, psychotherapist, group fitness instructor, advocate, and extreme athlete
• Laura Allen, Head of Strategy & Programs, Accessibility & Disability Inclusion at Google
